OF WATER, BORN: CELEBRATING SPRING + NATIONAL POETRY MONTH
Sunday, April 27th | 8:30 & 11 am US central time
Live In-Person in Chicago + Online
On Sunday, April 27th, I will be a guest artist at the marvelous 'heart of Chicago', The Chicago Temple, sharing 3 new creations there as a celebration of National Poetry Month and the Earth with seasonal themes of renewal:
- In Process, a short photographic and poetic meditation on Spring that will serve as an interlude of silent reflection
- Of Water, Born, my artistic and poetic response to a handbell piece called Watercolors
- A communal poem I will create and recite from words and phrases embodying renewal contributed by The Chicago Temple community, followed by a musical improvisation response to the poem by organist, Phillip Kloeckner
revealing the beauty of our seen and unseen worlds through the existential arts to illuminate life’s deeper magic, mystery and meaning
